Back in December (obviously) I took Afton to the mall in Escondido to do the last of my Christmas shopping and spotted a short line for Santa. I asked Afton if he wanted to tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas and to my surprise he said yes. So my shy little boy squeezed my hand as he walked up to sit on Santa's lap. He looked on the verge of tears but never actually cried. He even told Santa he wanted a drum set, which Santa obligingly brought him.
